AWS Certified Developer - Associate
A developer notices that a Lambda function which opens a new database connection on every invocation has high latency. The function makes repeated calls to the same downstream database. Which change to the function code best improves performance by taking advantage of execution environment reuse?
Explanation
Initialize SDK clients and database connections outside of the function handler, and cache static assets locally in the /tmp directory.
A team has deployed a Lambda function that accidentally invokes itself, causing an unexpected spike in invocations and cost. According to AWS best practices, what should the team do immediately to stop the runaway invocations while they fix the code?
Explanation
set the function reserved concurrency to 0 immediately to throttle all invocations to the function, while you update the code
